I have some 2 months old Spanish Ribbed Newts large. I noticed a couple morphed already. There is a large size range 1 inch to 3"+. The would like to move the biggest with parents but they have not morphed. The parents are 5" - 6". Will larger larvae be safe? Did I to wait until morphed so they have the tougher skin? This is my first time raising newts of any kind.

Thanks,

Morphed or not doesn't matter. Size matters. Over 3 inches they will probably be OK. Compare the size of the larva with the size of the adults' mouths.
