Hi, my axolotl are about have been in a container(Rubbermaid) since I got them.
When I purchased them they still had no rear leg but now they are all developed with toes and a little over 3" long.

I was wondering a what age it is safe to put them in an aquarium?

My tank has been running with 5 guppy in it for over a month and is cicled, the nitrate and ammonia are back to 0.

Also would the guppy be an issue? I couldn't care less if the axie eat them but are they going to bother them??

Thank you

Yes they will be a huge problem! I tried and they went traight or their gills. So now the guppies havetheir own tank.

Also watch out. I cycled my tank with 17guppies and about a week after i put my axies my tank crashed onme because axolotls are like 100guppies. Lmao they create a lot more waste. Once i got the spike though i removed my axies again and just let it finish cucling(no water change leave the waste)

What you can do is add the axolotls waste to the tank everyday to simulate having one in there

The axie going in the tank?
They can go in a tank whatever their size as long as its cycled :)

I usually put them in a tank when they've moved on to eating earthworms. 3" is plenty big enough!

Be sure you're not using gravel or any smaller rock substrate that could be accidentally ingested. The stones in your avatar are a bad size!
