Hi all,

So I am just got to wondering what other people like, and why they like them. Now I am not just talking about amphibian species you keep, I am talking about all amphibian species.
And knowing how many awesome species there are, you can give your top three. And maybe state the reason why you like them.

I'll go first.

Favorite species are---T. granulosa, A. truei, and......hmm......probably....R. kezeri. The reason I like T. granulosa is because they are the only newt I have ever seen in person, and they are such beautiful and species. They also have very distinct personality's from individual to individual.
The reason I like A. truei is because they are so unique, and are very very interesting species. The reason I like R. kezeri is because they are quite unique seeming too. And I have not found many at all, so when I do, it awesome. Plus I think they have a rather unique look.

So what's your favorite(s)?

I have two favorites, T grans because they are so cute, and T verr because I do so well with them. And they look cool.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
