What's this weird water bug?

I've got some axie larvae in a small tub & I just found this weird little water bug in it. It kinda looks like a mosquito larvae, but it has a dark head with a hood looking thing, the rest is longer & wiggles a lot. It's just under 1/4" long & very thin. Just wondering if this is something I should get rid of or let them eat it? I can't get a good pic of it since it's so small. I'll play with my camera some more to see if I can get something.

OK, it just hatched into a little fly of some kind. It's got a green thorax & long skinny wings. Guess it's probably OK if they eat them.

I would say it probably is a good source of food.

Are you sure it's not a dragon fly larva? Check the internet for pictures. If it is one, separate it asap.
