I'm looking into getting some red salamanders (pseudotriton rube). But i have only found some w/c ones for $50. I havent been keeping salamanders for a long time so i dont know what a good price for this species is. I dont mind paying $50 for a animals but i just dont want to get ripped off.Paying $50 for something i could have got for $20 please help
P.S. is there a care sheet on this species i looked but couldnt find one?

If you're in an area where they are native, I'd just go out and catch a few. That would probably be better than supporting a company that goes out and catches loads of them. There is a species under the articles list. It is here http://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/Pseudotriton.shtml I don't think they're the easiest to keep. They require very cool temperatures.

I live in MA, and i have a room now just for salamanders and newts with a a/c so it stays pretty cool.
