What size ?

What size should my axies be before I can start using sand as a substrate?

I dont think it matters, no harm should come to them, might be easier to see them and feed them in a bare bottom spare tank.

My young ones are between 8cm and 12 cm. I wanted to be sure it was ok for them at this size. And yes it is. Cleaning is still a breeze. Now I can start decorating.Thank you.
