Hello! I have 3 Axolotls (Two wild type and one leucistic). Over this year they shot out and to my surprise look like they've already sexually matured. Two of them look like textbook male axolotls. However, my youngest wild, Bones, has my judgement up in the air, as Bones is still sort of young compared to the other two (still within an inch: I've luckily never had any bullying problems).
To get to the point here i'm looking for some outside judgement on what Bones' sex is. I have heard from other owners that allowing a male to breed with them as they please all year can stress them out, shortening their lifespan. If that's the case, I'd like to be prepared to separate them before any breeding occurs. However, if that's false, that solves everything pretty quickly.
The following photos are of Bones! Let me know if I'm breaking any forum rules or anything like that, this is my first post here. Thanks in advance!
