My boyfriend gave it to me, he caught it at his house on the front porch. It's about two inches in length. It's color is a light orange and on his/her back there are perfect little black circles with a red to flourscent orange color in the center of them. If anyone has anyone info I'd appreciate it. I'd like to keep her.

That's it!!!! Now how in tarnation am I supposed to feed her/him. My boyfriend put a worm in there and it hasn't been touched.

Maybe it is not comfortable with the habitat yet. Or maybe it is still under stress. Or perhaps the worm is too big that you have to cut it down. In that case, the newt might not be willing to accept chopped worm from hand feeding. So better try some food smaller. Like cricket or wingless fruit fly.

or frozen bloodworms could be worth a try, also, I find my newts don't like to eat in bright light, If that helps.
