I have 5 adult P. Chinensis in a 30gl tank. This morning I noticed a bunch of these gel like bodies with little white dots (about 6 per gel). At first I thought they were eggs, however I have bred firebelly newts and the eggs are usually 1 per body of gel.

Are the Chinensis eggs different? I tried looking for pics of chinensis eggs but couldn't find any.
I did my best in trying to take a close up picture.
Let me know what you guys think.

Those are snail eggs. I always have a lot of those in my tanks.

And don't think for a second that removing them will stop a snail outburst. For every patch you see there are probably 10 you cant. If your snails are breeding it might be a sign of overfeeding. However, adult newts will probably munch up most of the baby snails :)

I hate those freakin snails. They are on every tank I have. Is there a way to get rid of them?

Sorry to burst everyones bubble, but these are not snail eggs. This morning I caught the male laying these around the plants and glass. It seems like he was courting the female.

They seem to be spermatophores that he's leaving for the female to pick up.

No, that´s definitely a snail´s egg sac, you can even see the developing embryos.
If your male was depositing spermatophores it seems unlikely he would be laying them on plants or glass since they need flat surfaces for successful transfer.
