I was fishing in a farm pond on a recent hunting trip and caught this. Never seeing one before. I started doing some internet research and found your group. So I joined. Hopefully you can help.

Thanks.
Mike

I can not get the image posted. It is a .jpg with a size of 2.24mg.

The size of your jpeg is far too large for our forum software. If you can resize it to be smaller that would be great. If you don't know how to do that you may email me the picture and I will resize it and post it for you.

EDITED: Well, seeing that picture I think it looks to be a larval Amybstomatid. If you can give us a general location as to where you captured this guy one of the more knowledgeable identification people out there can give you a probable species.

Based on the size, it'd have to be a larval tiger salamander.

I was in the state of Wyoming.

I'm guessing it's a neotenic tiger salamander adult; that just seems too big to be larval to me.

It's a beauty! The west is known for their neotenic populations, so I wouldn't be surprised.
