Our Yellow spotted is looking awful he is is shrivel and his spots have turned a browner color except on his under side. we thought it was sheding at first but he has it now for about a week and I am getting concerned.

Could you include pictures? They help give us a better idea of what's going on. Also what does it's setup/enclosure look like? (tank/tub size, substrate, hides) And what do you feed it and how often.

My boy is in a 10 gallon tank and his stbstrate had been coconut and wood. He eats about 1 night crawler every 3 days. he has a pool and plants in his tank. He hasn't eaten for about a week or so though.
Hopefully I got the pics attached and you can see them ok.

Can't really give any advice but, it's actually a tiger salamander and not a spotted salamander. But what temp is the tank?

The temperature is between 65-70 and humidity is around 60%
Can you see all the wrinkles and icky ness of his skin?

I’m not sure what is the cause of the illness of your tiger . I’ve had ones that look great then stop eating, become lethargic and lose there sheen with baggy appearing skin and unfortunately pass away within 2-3 days. However, in a few instances they bounce back returning to normal. Inappetance it self is not that uncommon as long as they look healthy. Other than taking him to an exotic vet., I would suggest trying to get him to eat a food type that interest him ( e.g., fast moving insects or a small section of fresh water fish) and maintain a quiet and dark environment to reduce stress.

Ok thanks I feel some better now. I will get some crickets for him and we can see how he does on that.

Please remove any uneaten crickets following each feeding attempt.
