Hi everyone,

As you know i have 2 axies, only lil ones tho (15cm each) in a 2 foot by one foot tank. Do you think i could conftarbly have one more in there? i would like another female so i would have 2 and 1 male

. What you think.

NO WAY! even two foot is too small in my opinion for two adult axolotls. i prefer to give them at least 45 x 30cm each. it might be alright now but if you do, be aware that you will have to upgrade. also in such a small tank (well its not that small but im used to five footers lol) you will probably notice more agression

i've got 3 little guys in a 2 foot tank at the moment and it's cramped, i don't really want to keep them in there any longer than i have too and it's only temporary for them because i'm moving them to a 41" x 18 x 21 tank as soon as it cycles.

yeh i shoudl wait till i get an upgrade. I might get an upgrade for my axies tommorow. I am are that for them now its ok since they're small but im going to get a bigger one as they grow. My dad knows how to cut glass and we're goin to make a tank tommorow and save soem money

. Im hopping to make it a 4 by 2 foot tank, wat u think?

Stipe, a tank that size 4 by two feet would be big enough for 6 axolotls. My tank is 4 by one foot, and it is big enough for 6, and it is tall, 21 1/2 inches tall. Big tank I have

. If you make a tank as large as you plan, you could get another axolotl or even a couple more lol.

I would however just stick with a small number. 6 axolotls for me is so much work lol, but you might have better success

Stipe that is wonderful you can make your own tank. I wish I could have done that back when I got this big tank, then I could have probably made it for a lot less than I bought it for lol.

Good luck to you, yes, post pictures of when you get it started and also finished

yes i agree with you rheann i wish i could aswell then i could of probly made a foot longer for the same price as buying one a foot shorter!. make sure you post some pictures and good luck with making the tank, i heard it can be very difficult to cut glass but im sure you dad has it under control!.

Has anyone tried eBay for cheap tanks?

I went on there a few days ago and found my tank for £2!!

The seller had upgraded and wanted rid of his old tank fast, all he asked for was that the buyer pick the tank up themselves.

Hayley-jane - i tried ebay but all of them wanted pic up and since they lived on the other side of the continet, i couldn't, lol.

Rheann and Ales - Glass was expensive to buy and so we thought of using plastic and making an acrylic tank. These tanks are far stronger than glass and weigh 50$ less than glass. The only thing is scratching and i have to be carful

lol Stipe

YOu can choose on eBay to only view listings that are within a certain distance of your home.

You just type in how many miles you want it to be away
