What do you guys think of this wood I'm going to put in with some new plants?

I've been looking for driftwood around lakes and beaches recently. Yesterday I went on a walk near a former forest being torn down for construction. There was a pile of wood where I found a few pieces I thought might look nice once cleaned up. I tore/scraped the bark off and sanded down the pieces, afterward I boiled the pieces for probably around 5 hours. I plan to do more later but already the pieces mostly keep in place when placed underwater (as you can see in the picture below). I was curious what everyone thought of them aesthetically though. They still need a bit more to leech out some leftover tannins, but since I'm expecting some purigen on Tuesday it isn't the biggest deal if they leak just a bit once placed. I'm looking to rescape the tank sometime this weekend. Thanks for the opinions everyone.

(FYI: This is a ten gallon I threw the wood into to submerge while I slept, the actual piece will be going in a 20 gallon long.)

It looks quite nice, although I heard you have to leave wood soaking for months before it's aquarium safe? I'm not sure though. At the moment boiling it sounds good :)

Do you know what the wood is? There are some that are axie safe, but rather a lot that aren't.

It's a lovely shape, could do some awesome scapes with that :)

I believe it's wood from an old oak, so should be just fine. No longer leeching tannins ^ ^
