Weirdo two-headed snake

The burning question is...how does it...yknow?

I was wondering that too. Because it looks like a very healthy specimen, I'm sure it has a ...y'know...somewhere in the middle.

I do wonder whether it eats with both heads....

Update: did a quick search, found it now

Doesn't really look like an extra head to me, just a bit of a funny shape on the tail. I can't help but wonder if it's one of the blunt-tailed species

At one point though I thought I saw a tongue coming out of the rearward head. It does look a bit underdeveloped though

A snake's cloaca (anus) is not at the end of it's tail. If it is indeed a second head on the end of that snake, it is highly unlikely there would be a digestive system linked to it

I still dont get it.

I still dont get it.

I Imagine the front head has a complete digestive system and cloaca about 2/3 down the body length and does all the good work. The rear head probably doesn't ingest and just, well, enjoys the view.

still, it would be cool to disect this thing to see what goes where...:yin-yang:

Or you could try feeding it and then wait and see where it comes out....put your scalpel back, Molch :D

Someone please put that thing in an MRI!

I don't think I'd like to be the rearward head. That way, anytime the front takes a poop, I end up getting dragged right through it...

For who was wondering, this is not a blunt tailed snake. I've caught several rough earth snakes over the years. It is very interesting how it even survived to adulthood, looks to be full grown.
