Hello! (If this will have any mistakes then i apologize, English is not my first language)

My axolotl, Rowen, started getting this weird things on his tail. (I still don't know it's gender but let's refer to it as he/him) I got him this year at April and i thought everything was alright.
The seller told me everything I should do to take care of an axolotl (or so i thought..) I believed that she told me everything, apparently she didn't, i only recently find out that you need to have pH around 7.4, no ammonia etc.. So when i found out i immediately went to buy something to treat it. I am still currently fighting with getting everything to the way it's supposed to be.
So the questions are:
1. What are those things on his/her tail? Is it normal? How should I treat it?
2. What thing should I use to bring the pH down? (That both works perfectly and is safe for axolotls) i am using pH/KH Minus from Tetra, is it safe?
Will be thankful for any answers.

I am very sorry, I am not sure how to help with this. I suggest its time to take her to an exotic vet. Oh, I solved your gender mystery. I’m pretty sure its a female. You can tell by looking at its cloaca. Female cloacas are generally smaller than male cloacas. If you don’t know what a cloaca is, its the little lump between an axolotl’s leg and stomach. I’ll leave I image showing the area of the cloaca. But if I am seeing it right, my axolotl Frankie, is definitely female and Rowen’s cloaca is as big as Frankie’s. I’m pretty sure Rowen is female. Anyways, I hope I helped a little with your gender mystery, but about the little stringy things coming from Rowen’s tail, I think you should take her to an exotic vet.

Oh thank you! I wanted to wait till she gets a little bigger cuz she's still small but if the gender really is female then that doesn't really change anything. I'll try to ask my vet if she knows some exotic vets that are nearby (unfortunately i live really far from big cities so the chances are smaller) Thank you for answering!

Hello !
Before running towards a vet, try to be more precise about the "xeird things" you're speaking about.
On your photo, I see nothing weird.
Is your axolotl a golden albino ? (yellowish colour, red eyes)
If it's the case, I think the white dots are iridophores, which would be normal.

Yes my axolotl is albino but i am not sure about the color, it's not really golden yellow but it's not too white either. The white dots aren't the only problem, there's like small part of skin that is coming off. I can try to take a picture so it's more visible.
Thank you for answering!

Sorry that the picture is kinda blurry i can't take a good picture if i want the skin that is coming off to be visible (it's on the axolotl's tail)

Ok, now it's clearer.
It doesn't look like a wound.
I'm afraid I cannot help you identify this.
Nevertheless, you can wait a few days ; some people more experienced than me may give you a better answer.

Oh! I thought in the first picture that the rock lines behind her were black stringy things coming off her. Oops. But still, I’m not sure what to do, but I think you should probably keep taking JM29’s advice. Sorry I couldn’t help much, I hope your axolotl will be okay! ❤️👍
