I'm having an awful time weaning my babies onto bloodworms. I tried putting them in, but they just won't eat them. When they don't eat, I panic and give them more BBS. What should I do? Any good methods?

Did you chop the worms? My babies didn;t want the worms at first either, then I chopped them real fine and they started eating them. Now that they've grown a little I don't chop the worms at all the the axies just suck em right up.

How big/old are the babies ? If they are too small they cant eat bloodworm. It is also worthwhile checking different brands of frozen bloodworm as the sizes of worm do vary, I feed Nutris frozen to larger juvies and Monkfield Nutrition frozen as the first frozen food to babies as the worms are a lot smaller. Just keep trying to feed them bloodworm, when they are ready they will eat it and continue with the BBS till you can get them transferred to their new food source.

I feed mine adult frozen brine shrimp when they're ready. They have no problem switching over, and the adults are fairly small, no chopping required.

I had to mix BBS and bloodworms together and "tricked" them into eating the bloodworms. Dangling the bloodworms in front of their mouths worked too (probably the movement) though now I think they think the tweezers is food too XD.They switched over pretty quickly.

try live daphnia iv had great results with it Rlmoormann @gmail.com is my source and she is great in a pinch i think she is 37.00 shipped for a 300 count culture and there big healthy russian red daphnia magna and she includes food for them and a green water starter culture which should get you started. i find that after about three to four weeks on daphnia and brine shrimp you can move on to live black worms and i reccomend eastern aquatics for them i believe he is in the 40.00 range for two pounds shipped and depending on the number of little lotls u have 2 pounds could last you up to two months
