Hi all
I remember reading somewhere that axie females can reabsorb their eggs if conditions aren't suitable etc.
My female just laid heaps of eggs and before they've even hatched, has started trying to lay more.
I really don't want more mess through my tank with all the goo. Currently she is in a plastic container and has stopped laying.
Is there a safe method to stop her laying eggs that won't harm her?
Is leaving her in the small space so the eggs are out of the tank harmful if it stops her laying?
I don't want to harm her in anyway, so I thought I would check. She has an ornament to put the eggs on but has just stopped.

Do you have her in a tank with a male? It's my understanding they won't lay if there's no male present. So if you have a male, maybe you need to put in a separator or set up a different tank.

Just a thought - somebody feel free to correct me.

I'll keep that in mind. I ended up finding a larger plastic box, where she laid some eggs but not as many. I may need to buy a seperate tank I can put her in whenever she starts laying. I hate all the goo left behind from the eggs being in the axie tank

Jeopardizing the conditions in order to maker her reabsorb the eggs is definitely not right. You risk making her ill or even killing her.
If you can´t handle, or simply don´t want the eggs, just separate males from females.

Thanks for that, I definitely won't be doing it then. I found a large enough container to put her in where she could still happily lay the eggs so no need to worry. I would hate to harm her
