That's the banana plant I mean. They grow nice leaves like water lilies. For a real waterlily to be small enough for an axolotl tank it would have to be tropical. The hardy ones aren't that small. A tropical one won't like the cool temps for axolotls. It will need bright lights to thrive. I'm not up on my lighting but something like actinic. I don't think a full spectrum bulb will do it.
I keep lots of pond plants and have some plant tanks. Mostly I don't put plants in my axolotl tanks. They do make a nice display but I like mostly simple set ups and a couple display tanks.

Hi Maja, there are fake water lilly plants that you can put in your tank, there are some really pretty ones that I have seen, and they last, always blooming
I might try some fake water lilies in my tank one of these days, they are so pretty ^___^
i think ill try to buy a small one and when it gets to big ill cut it down again.. i dont like plastic things in aquariums.. i have real stones, real shells, real plants, and real beach sand, and real axies.. hehe..
i just wanna keep it all natrual.. so if they eat some plants or something theyre not gonna be harmed..
added a pic of my tank..
