Hi!.
Wondering if someone ever tried a computer-watercoolingsystem to cool down tankwater.
The Dangerdensystem offered at www.xxlcases.nl
including a Eheim pump, tubes, radiator and ventilator claims to be a very lownoise and powerfull coolingdevice with outstanding coolingresults.

Han.

I've never tried one myself to know 100% for sure, but they are designed to take the very hot temperatures of a computer and make them only warm, not take room-temp tank water and make it colder. I think they can only make water as cold as room temperature.

Nate is 100% right on this. Now, if you bought the system and placed the radiator in a refridgerator, that would be excellent.

Actually, no, in a heat exchanger system it'll work like a fridge, just probably not as well - i.e. suck the heat out and use the radiator to redistribute it. Theoretically it could lower the tank temp below room temperature, but I doubt it's capable of that...
