I had to get test strips since Petsmart carried no liquid testing kits. And they also had no kits for ammonia testing. I settled for a kit that had nitrite and nitrate testing.

These are the results of my new tank I am tried to get cycled with seeding which is a 20 gal.
Results:
Nitrate: 0-20ppm
Nitrite: 1.0ppm
Hardness: 150 Hard
Alkalinity: 80 moderate (300 high on second test) I wanted to see how accurate these strips were)
pH:7.2

I also tested the old tank which is a 10 gal and here are the results:

Nitrate: 0.20ppm
Nitrite: 3.0ppm (WHAT?!)
The rest of the results were the same as the new tank.

I even tried Petco but they have been out of practically everything. I really don't like the new manager. The shelves are empty and seem to never order anything. I bought some worms a few weeks ago and they were rotten with fungus and had to take them back and tonight I had to take back an expired aquarium product. They had one liquid test kit but it WAS OPEN! No way was I gonna get something tampered with. I can't seem to find anything to test ammonia.

Okay so what now? Should Saskia stay in old tank or get moved to new tank? I feel so overwhelmed and stressing about my little one.

I'm with Kaysie, I don't even know what to tell you based on inaccurate strips and no ammonia reading :( I would suggest picking up a liquid API kit online when you can.
