My notos laid a few eggs. Don't have many larvae and they're pretty far apart age/progression wise. I had one that way much farther along, fully absorbed its gills but never came out of the water and was feeding after morphing. It died about 3-4 weeks after absorbing it's gills.
Early last week 2 other just about fully morphed a day apart from each other and came out of the water (have a mat/cluster of frogbit mixed with riccia fluitans in the water). I check the tank multiple times a day every day so I'm fairly confident I found them within hours of them seeking land. Both seem to look like swollen water ballons and look like they're full of fluid. I have a 2.5 gallon terrestrial tank that I prepared for efts, full of various size springtail. One of the 2 died a day after coming put of the water. Not sure if it has to due with the fluid retention? Has anyone seen or experienced this before?
I assumed that if they could get out of the water they should be fine. Once they're close should I transfer them to a small setup with less water (lower level) and a significant land option?
