The parameters of my tank are all fine, and my temperature remains between 21 and 18 degrees Celsius, however my PH is between 8 and 8.5. I know axies like hard water but is this a little too hard?

My axolotl (Luna) shows no sign of stress however the tip of her tail is very thin and translucent, I am not sure what's causing this but this is the only thing I can think of that could possibly be harming her, any ideas?

Fall axolotls do prefer hard water the pH is not an indication of the water hardness. a stable pH is more important than trying to get within the range of what is considered acceptable. if the pH was more extreme such as 9 or above or 6 and below it might be cause for concern.
