Hey i have been taking care of Axolotls for around four years now and won't to start getting into Newts. I have a 4-foot tank and a high powered filter. I was just woundering what Newts go well with strong currents?

Thanks Mitch

I know that Pachytriton labiatus (Paddletail Newt) really like a strong current. They are pretty aggressive and should not be kept in large numbers. If you have a large tank with ALOTS of hide spots you could get away with a couple of them. Many members on here own them and really like them. I know there are stream and brook newts that also prefer stronger currents but I do not know which ones exaclty.

Hope this helps alittle.

Mitch

ps Nice name! ;)

Well something like a muddpuppy, or a gulf coast waterdog might be good.

Has no one broken the bad news to you? There are no newts legally in Australia.
