Sorry i could be asking a old question. I cant find much on it when Google it just weather to or not to condition. I like to to be safe so i do condition. What brand does everyone use and are confident with. I have used reptisafe now I'm question it. My well broke so i had a new well drilled 450ft $$$$ Now i find less than 0.25 ammonia in my tap water even with reptisafe. I picked up seachem prime is this good enough? Plus does anyone know how much to put in a gallon. I will gladly get something else if this is not good enough it's really concentrated compared to reptisafe. They talk about using drops but that's confusing to me i didn't think every drop of water was the same size:eek:and it doesn't come with any kind of dropper.

Are you certain there's ammonia in the well water, It's unusual if there is?
I used most brands of water conditioner to treat my chlorinated tap water. For ultimate value for money you can use the stuff intended for use in Koi pools, it's super concentrated though, so you need to be able to calculate the amount needed to treat such a small amount of water.

Seachem's website says to use 2 drops of prime per US gallon, that's what I use when I do my water changes since I still mix mine in buckets. I use a dropper I bought over in the baby dept and it seems to work well.

Thanks for the replies and yes i have a small amount of ammonia in my well. I know you shouldn't have ammonia in your well. I live 1 mile from a old dump now its a transfer station. Do your research before buying a home I had no idea.
