Any dechlorinator/conditioner intended for fish will be fine. I didn't know there were amphibian specific ones! I bet they are just the same product, but with a picture of a frog on he bottle and the price hiked up a few bucks!
ok I thought I was safe, I've had an axolotl the past month and I've just been using the fish conditioner and then I saw specific amphibian kind at the store and started freaking out. I figured it was the same thing but the amphibian kind was defiantly more money
I don't know what could possibly be different, as long as the product removes chlorine and chloramine it's doing it's job. I've always used tetra aquasafe with axolotls, clawed frogs, fire bellied toads and newts without any issues whatsoever.
Just lately I've been using dechlorinator for koi ponds because you get so much more for your money, you just have to be sure you calculate the dosage accurately as the koi stuff is super concentrated.
