Water changing

we've had bill a bit over a week now... thanks for the help before...
i've been trying to get the ammonia down, been changing 25% of the water daily, but the ammonia doesnt seem to be dropping and tends to increase in small amounts. we've been adding water cycle products to decrease the ammonia but it doesnt seem to be helping either. also may mention we don't leave any food in the tank. just wondering what i should do to decrease the ammonia?

Change 50% each time. anf if u have another tank(that have cyckled) you could use some of the filter from the pump, and put it in the pump for ur axies. That would change it all in a days.

Is your tank still cycling? If so, I'd let the ammonia go, and the bacteria catch up, and move your axolotls to temporary homes (usually clean buckets) and keep them there with daily water changes until the cycle in the main tank is finished.

"Cycle" products usually don't work. It's not recommended to use any products to alter water quality levels because they're usually only a temporary fix. Any change will be for a short time, and will then swing back to where it was, causing stress on the axolotls.

we've put him in the fridge in a small container with clean water with no products added to it apart from ph adjuster. should we leave the tank for a couple of days until the cycle is complete?

id leave it for more than a couple of days, at least a week or two, or just untill the ammonia and nitrate and ph and all that stuff go back down to normal, as maja said its good to have some filter wool thats been in a cycled tank b/c that will have all the bacteria on it and that will speed up your cycling a lot more. maybe you have some freinds with tanks or u could try ask the pet store for some. hope i helped!
