Question: Water Changes

Hi I have been doing 50% water change weekly ever since I got axies, (over a year now). Before I changed the water this week I tested and found the water was in perfect condition. Do I need to keep doing water changes as frequently as I am currently doing?

Probably not. It depends on how big and how stocked your tank is, but in most cases, 20% a week is adequate. If you have a water testing kit (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate), test your water every couple of days, and when you see one of the levels get out of ideal, then do a 20% change and test again to see if it's back in acceptable levels.
