So, since I was in prepared for eggs it took me about a week to move the adults out of my filterd tank. In concaquence, the water is yucky. Should I change the water? One of my problems is that the eggs are all laied on a plastic tree stump that's fairly tall and I think I can turn it on its side without squishing any eggs. I set up my tubs for the babies today but the water has not set for 24 hours only a few and I'd have to fill them up more to put the log in.

You can gently remove the eggs with your finger nails & place them in dechlorinated tap water -
I would think it'll be easier to manage the water for the eggs & then the hatchlings when they arrive. Most people keep the eggs & larvae in tuppaware containers & they do regular water changes & clean outs.
