Are there any species of newts that would be suitable in high temperatures? I want to put one in my fish tank. All the aquatic ones Ive found are from the alpine.

Mixing newts and fish is generally a bad idea. There are a few exceptions though like guppies and white cloud minnows.

What is your definition of high temperatures? As you've found out, the majority of newts require cool temps to survive. However Cynops cyanurus can with stand higher temps than most newts, even up to 27°C (80°F).

There is no newt I would recommend to put in a fish tank. There are a couple of fish that would work in a newt tank, but I would design the tank around the needs of the newts, not the fish.

I've never heard of any species of newt that likes warm water. Fish and newts can be a bad idea, because they can hurt eachother.

Not that I would say it is a good idea, but I have seen paddle tailed newts kept with fish (small ones) that did not have to compete directly for food with them. They are kept at 80 F. They have been together now for over 6 years. Not saying, Im just saying. Also, the newts will occasionally grab a fish or two.
