Question: Wait to upgrade?

Well Petco is having there $1 a gallon sale so the axie babies are getting a 20 gallon , My question is they have only been home for 11 days ... Is next week too soon to upgrade?

Please before you say anything , the 20 gallon is as big as I can go right now, I do have a 40 long in storage I plan to set up as soon as I move but the 20 gallon will have to do for now.

Too soon to upgrade from what? I'm guessing you mean into the 20gal long?

It's never too soon to give them a bigger home Are they currently in a cycled tank? If you move them in, just be sure to keep a close eye on water parameters, and do large enough water changes to keep ammonia <1ppm, nitrite <1ppm, and nitrates <40ppm while the new one cycles

well their filter, hides etc will be moved with them so all that beneficial bacteria will be moving to the new tank with them the worst that will happen is a mini cycle. This is a fully cycled tank.

Good Although beneficial bacteria mostly grow on surfaces there will be a little in the water column, so I would suggest using their water, too, even if it only helps a little bit, every little bit counts!
