Vivarium Contest

Hi all,

I am having a contest for nicest planted vivarium at my site. I don't really know how many people here are into that kind of thing, but if you are check it out.

It's set up so each entrant can create their own thread with all the info and pictures they want to submit. So I'm hoping in the end it will be a nice resource for inspiration and knowledge. I'm putting up $500 for first prize as incentive.

I just posted it today, so there isn't a single entrant yet. Anyway, here it is:

Wow, $500, that's quite a prize. Have you seen the vivarium contest at IAD? (I see your website links to IAD, so maybe you've been there.)
 
it's a great prize! but is the competition open to non-americans?
 
Odd, I could have sworn I answered this thread.

Anyway, sure, anyone can enter. There are several European vivariums on there already.

    Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
