Hello I currently use sponge filters . I assume this will work well . Anyone else using them ?

I use sponge filters myself. I prefer them for lack of current.

I've also used hang on and internal filters just as well.

I use a sponge and a hang on filter. A lot of axolotl owners use just sponge filters. Keep an eye on mess, it can be removed using a turkey baster to keep the tank clean.

I love them. In addition to performing its function well, it also makes a soothing noise at night so I don't need a white noise machine any more. :p

I thought I wouldn't be able to sleep with mine but I still sleep pretty well with it. If it's got an air pump on it I put a sponge under it so it's even quieter. :D
