Using a skewer to feed the newts.

Hello Everyone
One of my favorite tools for feeding my newts is a 12 inch wooden skewer ( it looks like a long tooth pick ). What I like about it is that whether the newts are at the surface or the bottom of the tank I can easily and quickly reach them with the food.
May be some of you who read this will find it helpful!

That is pretty interesting I use a surgical clamp , but I still manage to get a few fingers in the water. Where would a guy get one of them. Iam guessing at a grocery store

Hi Cole
You are precisely right at the grocery store. You can buy a bag full of them for very little money. People use them at barbecues to cook shrimp, kebabs and other foods.
Best wishes to you!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
