Use for a 10 gallon tank

I am looking to get a larger tank, if you read my other thread you would be aware. I want to put my old 10 gallon tank to use though. Any suggestions on what other type of newt I could raise in the other tank? I am kind of interested in doing a tank with soil in it but I am not sure if the 10 gallon is too small for that. I also am not sure what kind of species is as "cute" and easy to take care of as the CFB is. Any and all suggestions are welcome!
