Upside down

This newt was a little to heavy for the plant to carry, but when the plant bended and the little fellow ended up upside down, he just stayed like that for over an hour. (watch how it uses the behind legs as if it were laying eggs)

That's funny...but you're sure it's not a female laying eggs?

It's a fat juvenile, but maybe I'm to fast drawing conclusions. It's 1.5 years old. And as all the other siblings are still so small I didn't expect this one to be mature either. On the other hand, this one is in the same tank with the parents. I thought the few eggs I saw were from the gravid 'mama'. (who's is still a few cm taller)

Cute photo Joeri! How large lengthwise are these guys? They look too big in the photos to be 1.5 years old!

Those in the pictures are 5-6 cm; is that big for that age?

The rest of that batch is about 4-5cm
