here are some update shots on both my JFB's morphs from last year -one are hiroshima babies and the others are unknown but i believe they were sassami (still cant find my notes)
here are the related threads on their history
hiroshima morphs came out in 8/2005 http://www.caudata.org/forum/messages/13/41658.html?1124412969
the other morphs came out in 11/2005

of the hiroshimas-i only have 2 morphs that have survived this far, they were very poor eaters. it wasnt till recently that they started picking up weight-one was so thin it was showing hip bones and ribs. once i switched offering live black worms to live daphnia as food they have drastically picked up weight.
though these are 3 months older than the unknown ones-they are significantly smaller-i suspect the lack of appetite is part of the problem. here is a shot of one of my unknown's-the runt- next to my biggest hiroshima
here is a shot of the greater difference between the 2 kinds-the unknown ones have cooler patterns and are about 2 1/4" now
here is an areal shot of a hiroshima-these were the runts of the group and are about 1 3/4"
here are some belly shots of the hiroshimas-the lack of brightness is a sign of their immature stage
the other unknowns are much more advanced in belly brightness and patterns
the runts is not quite as advanced yet
