My newts go less active, I think it is due to low water temperature, because the thermometers are making 18 º c. However what worries me is the C.orientalis, as I can not change the water often ended up buying a filter for your tank. Sometimes leave from water and instead of being on top of the plants spend their lives close to the substrate. Is there a way to alleviate the impact of the filter in your behavior?
Thanks

I would not expect newts to be less active at 18C. Not much.

A filter is not a substitute for water changes! I would recommend removing the filter if it has changed their behavior in a negative way. C. orientalis is a pond-dwelling newt, and does not like a strong current.

Hi Jennewt,
newts are already accepting the filter, oddly only the beginning.
What I really wanted to know is if someone uses some technique to reduce the vibration of the filter, I should not have expressed the best way!
Thanks for the reply

regards
