So, today we got a surprise of a tank full of axolotl eggs! 180+ just counting from the front of the tank, so I am estimating 250+ total. Most look good, fertile, from what I have seen in pics, but this is a first for us and we are very excited! They are attached to large lava rocks in the tank, should we remove the adults, or try to remove the eggs? The female is wild type, and the male is a yellow albino, and all the eggs so far look like variations of 1/2 brown and 1/2 white, so I am assuming they will develop into wild type babies? We ordered some Daphnia, is that good to use? We read over some threads on here, as well as the axolotl site, is there any other information we should have?
I also thought I would share some shoddy close ups I tried to take of the eggs. First time using my tripod for pics![Stick out tongue :p :p](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
and a 100% crop of the above picture
Ill post updated pictures of the egg development as days go by if anyone is interested. Thanks for any info and looking!
