Okay, so unexpected news - eggs in my juvenile tank!
There are 2 leucistics, around 9 months old + 2 white albinos, which I have no DOB for but from what I can remember they are around a month younger.
I thought the eggs were white to begin with, but there are at least some which are dual-coloured. This means that the mother was a leucistic, doesn't it? Since leucistics aren't albino. 1 of the leucies looks to be male, so hopefully, I've got 1 of each gender (I have a 4ft tank for females + a 4ft tank for males, so this would be perfect for me!)
I will remove the eggs later this evening + see if they are ALL dual-coloured.
If not, does that mean that there are at least 2 mothers - the leucie for the dual-coloured eggs + at least 1 of the albinos for the white eggs?
I'm fairly sure I read about egg colours somewhere, but wanted to double-check as I tend to doubt myself quite a lot.
I thought they were too young + only 1 had been showing any signs of being male + even then not enough to decide for definate + only for a couple of days![Eek! ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Okay, so I should've learned from Ddraig suddenly deciding to be male, but I thought they were okay until around 1year old
Good job I've got a divider ready to set up Ddraig's 4ft tank to seperate the juvies - just haven't had time to actually do it yet ![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
