I have quite a few amphibian photos so I decided to make a small web site gallery.

It's at http://www.ultimatelunchbox.com/ (don't ask about the domain name, it's a long story!)

The photos load in a flash viewer and I wouldn't recommend it if you only have a dial-up connection as there's quite a few.

I hope you like it. Let me know what you think.

Very nice! You take wonderful photos, and it's great you have a place to display them all together. I hope Ester sees this and adds it to the Links page. My only suggestion is that for some of the photos it might be nice if there were more information (the animal's age, etc.).

For those who haven't noticed, another of Mark's photo masterpieces is now on Caudata Culture:

Thanks, Jen and Dane. Good idea, I will add some more information to the photos. The image data is held in a fiddly XML document but when I get the time I’ll update it.

Thanks for the link Jen – hadn’t see that. *blushes* @ “photo masterpiece”, if only…ho hum

Wow, that is quite the site and the pictures are amazing. I like the photo selection with fade in as well.

And that set of photos of the developing egg were great! How often do you get to see that?

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
