So I've just gotten back from camping and found some pretty cool pebbles to decorate with, as well as a 3 perfect rocks to make the coziest hide. However - it was from a beach. An unpolluted national park beach, now I will be quarantining these pretty well, boiling them, vinegar bath, in the sun for a week or two and reboiling. Now - I've read through previous posts and the rocks you can use but still unsure so I took photos. The small pebbles are all smooth. The 2 medium big ones feel rough kind of like sandstone and has a sort of "grain", the biggest/flattest feels sandy but not so much sandstone. I've also done the vinegar test and none fizzed or bubbled in the slightest.
I've also read pretty conflicting things, some saying sandstone is 100% not suitable for tanks, some say it's okay it just raised your pH (which I don't mind, I'm sitting on about 7.4-7.6).
Thoughts on what kind of rocks they are, and the thought about sandstone in tanks (if it is)?
