Congrats! I used to breed those, they are my favourite species to raise from eggs. The young juvies are crazy, mine used to try and eat each other tail first!

So I've only had about 20% of the larvae hatch. Some seem to hatch prematurely and are deformed that eventually don't make it. Has anyone had this issue before with this species or with Tylototriton in general? The big female has gone on to lay two more clutches, the second of which is starting to hatch now. We'll see if they fair any better...
I’ve been meaning to update y’all with the progress. Here are some of the larvae from a few weeks/months ago. I’m still waiting for the white one to morph. John said he’s raised these before and they come out orange. Does anyone have a pic of a morphed lighter individual?
The larvae have been morphing over the past few weeks and finally the white/lighter larvae did too. Although it’s not as light as I thought it would be, it’s still a stunner with bright yellow eyes. I included it with some other morphed individuals so you could see the contrast between them.
I didn’t get any white larvae this year, but I did get this one stunner that looks similar to the brightly colored individual from last year (that didn’t end up surviving). It morphed out at 4 inches (10 cm)!! Most of the metamorphs look similar to the parents, more muted orange and no spots along their sides.
Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.
He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. What do we think? https://www.amazon.com/Reptile-Simulation-Adjustable-Temperature-Tortoise/dp/B0CH1DPGBC
