I'm very worried about my tylo, he didn't eat for like 2 week now.
He's got a little wound on the neck also and it looks like he cant move he's hind legs.
tomorrow i will post an picture off him to show it to you guys.
i laid him in a bath of salt already for a few hours.
any more tips i could do?

Hi

The photo will be really useful of him and how he is usually kept.
Do you know how he got the wound?
Could you tell us more about his history, such as how long you have had him and how he is kept.
I would remove him from the salt bath. This is usually advised to be used for short spells of maybe 10-20 minutes. Put him in clean, dechlorinated water for now.

Hi Julia,

I really don't know how he did get the wound.
I'm reading a lot of topics and i think it are sores.
I'll keep him aquatic and i got him now like 8 months.
I bought the animals from Anthony Mcgill so they aren't wild catch.
Okay thanks for the advise i'll removed him from the salt bath.
i'm really worried about him.... also i'm trying to buy some neosporin, but i'll live in the Netherland and they don't sell it in any shops over here.

Quick update,

i was force feeding him today, and i saw that he's throat was swollen really badly.
I made an appointment at the vet for thursday but i think that will be to late... because it has swollen really badly.
Is there any way to increase the growth of the infection?
Salt bath or the fridge maybe?

It doesn’t sound too promising I’m afraid. The swelling and sores are usually symptoms rather than the actual illness. Newts sometimes swell when they are close to death, often around the mouth area. The multiple problems you describe would suggest a fairly advanced illness that is unlikely to be treated with environmental changes, antibiotics or topical solutions. I have my fingers crossed for him.

Unfortunately he passed away... so sad, i was going to the vet within a few hours before he died :( luckily my female just produced today more then 60 eggs :) so that's nice.
Anyway thanks for helping me out guys!

Indeed... Its just really sad that u can't do anything about it, and watch him dieng slowly.
Thanks Sith!
