How many people keep triops and if so how do u keep them?

I've kept them a few times, and I'm going to see if my dried sand has any eggs when the weather warms up.

I keep mine in a long glass dish with tall sides (it originally held floating candles). I put sand and fine gravel in the bottom, and use Crystaline bottled water for them to live in.
I still have a packet of triops food that came with a set, but I have been told that they can eat granular fish food and bits of grated carrot.

I get quite aggravated with their short life span, but they are hugely amusing when they are alive

Well i have mine in a small tub while they hatch. the first one hatched around 12hrs. and i guess they will go in a pretty wide 12 litter tub when they start getting bigger. So i guess ima put sand and gravel in there for them.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
