Hi,

I've got a female wild type and am wanting to breed her with my friends Golden. I've introduced him into the tank last night ensuring there are flat rocks at the bottom of the tank and plenty of plants. Does anyone have any top tips for helping them 'get in the mood'? My friend's axie is his classroom pet so don't really want to keep the fella at mine for too long. Thanks

Have you read The Axolotl Site, Caudata Culture, the Axolotl Sanctuary sites. All three of these contain the knowledge of many, many members here and pretty much spell out what you need to do. (These sites can all be accessed above from the Caudata.org Sites link menu...)

Another option is to use the forum search function and utilize nearly a decade's worth of data.

Yeah have read them all and have taken their advice on board. Was just wondering if anyone had found something slightly different that had worked for them. Thanks

I've read that as long as the water conditions are good and the axies are well fed, the usual problems is preventing them from breeding. Axies, from what I've heard, are fairly keen on making babies.
