Hi, for the 1st time my axies have layed eggs, there are about 250-300, my female is rather young so im not expecting much of a result, but i transfered them to a small tank with a heater set to 20 degrees and an airstone etc.

My question is, how many would be a reasonable ammount to keep, and try to hatch.
ATM all the eggs are in a small tank, and from what ive read, it maybe more beneficial to have less in the tank for a better result, I dont have anyone to help take on some of the eggs, so i think it may be best to lighten to load of the tank.

Also, a few of the eggs were layed close to the sand, and have some sand stuck to the jelly that surrounds the eggs, will this effect the egg in anyway, or should they be removed?.

This is my 1st time so im quite unexperienced. so forgive me if im making some mistakes, any advice is welcome, also anyone willing to take some of the eggs on, feel free to contact me. These are the 1st eggs layed by my axies, and i think she is a little young, so im not even sure if they are fertile or cabable of hatching/developing.
She is 19.5cm long.

For a first-timer, I wouldn't try any more than 10 or 15. It's a reasonable number to feed.

The sand won't hurt the eggs.
