So, I'm not sure the gender of any of my axies. It's awful hard to tell when they're all small (about 6 inches or 15 cm, but all about 1 year old--I got them from the breeder at about 2 weeks old).

I know for sure I have one boy and the other two...?

Any ways to tell if a female is pregnant, but hasn't laid eggs?

I'm paranoid and not ready to breed.

Well obviously the female would be looking pudgy...

My female hides away and I Cant see her. Then aroudn 12-24hours before laying, her colouring is very bright and she swims around like mad.

You may also want to look for some sort of secretion on the stones or floor of your tank, as this is what the male will have left.

the female will get restless and her cloaca will usually swell quite a bit (not to the extent of a male) and she'll wrap her legs around plants and rocks to secure the eggs.
