Looks awesome. How the heck did you grow the moss? I am getting so frustrated with everyone growing moss, and I can't. Thanks! Happy Easter!

haha Mark,
mosses cant really be cultivated. you have to go into the jungles or forests to collect, and the trick to keep them lush and growing is to give them the condition they want.

i live in a tropical climate, providing high humidity and daily misting makes my mosses lush.

unless we are keeping the same mosses, i believe certain type require different conditions, for example amount of water and humidity. (some mosses can even be adjusted to be in semi aquatic condition)

I love your tank, I'm new to the site and I've seen some amazing pics and great info. I'm so happy to see so many people with my same interest. Keep up the good work. I'll be waiting for your newt tank.

Het Mark, if you're collecting moss for your tank keep in mind that there are many different species of moss, each requiring different conditions. If you want some moss to place on wood, find yourself moss that grows on wood. If you want moss to grow between stones, find moss that ... (you get it by now).
Also keep in mind that a tank usually has a higher level of humidity, so collect moss from a moist place. It's easier to add water, than to make your tank drier.

Alex, nice looking tank. I'm looking forward to your next project. By the way, did you glue that wood on a glass separation or how did you make that landarea?

Joeri

Don't forget light. I had very little moss growing in my tank for years until I added some good lights. Then suddenly the moss was thick lush, and everywhere!!!!

absolutely gorgeous. It is one of the finer examples of tank design that i have seem. beautiful!

Hey Andrew, you said that lighting is important, I have had many people tell me this, but no one gives me details, what kind of light would you best recommend?
