I am a VSO volunteer living in the Upper West Region of Ghana and in November I found this tiny white frog on the hinge side of my wooden front door. Since then it has moved position a little higher up and moved on to the door frame, so as I open and close the door each day it does not get moved, but is safe and secure and completely hidden once the door is closed. The harmattan, Saharan sands have been blowing the past few months and its colour has changed to a dusty orange, but that is the blown sand. We had the first of the season’s rains this week and the following day I saw the frog move for the first time. It had opened its black eyes and stretched its long legs and moved about the door for a few minutes, then returned back to its original position on the door frame. It measures just 1.5 cm. in length and appears to have a black stripe running from head down the side of its body. It has three pads on the foreword legs and the webbing between its toes is orange in colour, however this may also be due to the dust/sand. The right side of its body, which is away from the blowing dust, still appears white. I have searched the net and only found a translucent reed frog, but I would really appreciate some one letting me know what frog I have living in my door frame. I didn't realise frogs could live without water for over 4 months! I am trying to attach a photo but may not be able to do this yet. Thank you

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. Had a question that I just want to be sure of. My marbled newt is a little over a year old and has started to develop and I noticed that he is starting to swell a little below his abdomen. I guess I’d like to know if they are his testes or if I need to be concerned.

Hello!!! I'm new to this website and idk how to ask a proper question on the designated spot yet, so I'll ask here, I'm a first time Axolotl owner, and my dad used to run an aquarium store, anyways... Orca, my Axolotl, seems to loose parts of her toes on one limb from time to time, I can't seem to find the problem. Tempature is well, she doesn't seem to have any infections or anything, though. And I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a vet in Brazil for amphibians that are in a reasonable distance to drive without stressing Orca out too much
