Yeah I was talking about the golden, I’m sure if you look closer at the eye in real life it would look a little more like a wild types eye. She’s a bit of a golden albino\wild type but more golden albino then wild type
Yeh nice find Jasmine, ive never seen a golden close to his colour - i dont know if its just the photos or not, but he looks kinda golden/mustard - very nice!
kinda exciting, but really frustrating too! waiting for tank to cycle.
Lost my fella when I was away at christmas, and fish just aren't as interesting!
amen to that, when i bought my big tank the store person asked me what i was putting in it and i said axolotls, and asked me why on earth you'd want a big tank for them when you can have lots of fish and i said i wouldn't have anything else
charles, one thing i've learned, it's worth the wait! your new guys sound really gorgeous.
Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
